Dear Prospective Member:
Here’s all the info you need to join.  It will be great to have you aboard, as Otis Model Aero Club, Inc always needs the support and participation of new members…as well as your friendship!  If you are inexperienced, we can teach you to fly well and safely, if an old hand at RC, then have at it.  Regardless, I’m certain you will enjoy the camaraderie, benefits, and common purpose of OMAC, Inc Membership.
The following pages include an Application, our Club Bylaws, the Field Regulations, Exhibit ‘B’ of our License Agreement with the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, and a Crane Event schedule (no flying those dates shown).  I ask that you read all carefully, as you are required to sign that you will uphold these documents as an OMAC, Inc Member.  The New Member fee is $55/year for adults, $1 under 19 years.  Under fourteen, a parent needs to join and always be present; all need to be a current Academy of Aeronautics member upon application.  Check their website.       http://www.modelaircraft.org/
It is important to be aware of the responsibilities and obligations in belonging to OMAC, Inc…. in particular, when flying at Crane.  OMAC, Inc flies there solely at the pleasure of the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife; a privilege, not a right, and always with their regulations in mind and public safety a priority.  Your AMA and Club cards must always be displayed; Exhibit ‘B’ must be on your person or vehicle.  Courtesy and communication with other pilots and Crane users is key…. announce your intentions and all will go more smoothly and safely.  OMAC, Inc uses a simple ‘additive’ frequency control system, placing a frequency stick in the stick pit before turning the Tx on, laying it down after turning off.  Field Rules, the AMA Safety Code, etc., are posted on our Notice Board, it should be checked often for additions and changes.  Please be especially aware of the designated flying spaces diagramed there.
As a Member, you will receive our Newsletter announcing events, news and info, and Meetings, which are held at RC Hobbies, East Falmouth, six times a year, 7:30 PM, third Wednesday of the month.  Our regulations and rules have long served admirably.  They are absolutely required by our national insuring body and the DFW in order to continue flying RC at Crane, and to protect our property, onlookers, and ourselves.  Old story: If we wanna fly, we need a site; we want a site, we must insure the site owner and comply with their requirements.  The AMA provides that insurance, therefore we must also comply with their regulations, as well as the codified common sense in our Club Bylaws, and Field rules.
